Important Installation Guidelines – Synchronizer Cone 1297-304-523
Before installing this synchronizer cone, ensure the transmission is fully disassembled and cleaned of old lubricants or debris. Always inspect mating surfaces on the gear and hub for wear—uneven contact can lead to premature failure.
This cone is designed specifically for SITRAK C7H series heavy-duty transmissions. Do not force-fit; if resistance occurs, recheck alignment. Apply high-quality molybdenum-disulfide-based synchronizer grease (such as ZF LS-G or equivalent) during assembly to reduce friction and improve shift quality.
Replace all related worn components (keys, sleeves, springs) at the same time to avoid imbalance. After installation, refill with OEM-recommended transmission oil (SAE 75W-90 GL-5) and perform a break-in cycle: drive gently for the first 200 km to allow proper seating.
