Installation Instructions
How to Install the HOWO Engine Oil Pump VG1500070048
Preparation:
Disconnect battery. Drain engine oil completely.
Remove front timing cover to access oil pump assembly.
Remove Old Pump:
Unbolt mounting screws securing the old oil pump.
Carefully pull out the pump; inspect pickup tube and screen for debris.
Inspect & Clean:
Clean oil pan and suction screen thoroughly.
Check gear drive alignment and crankshaft splines.
Install New Pump (VG1500070048):
Apply light coating of clean engine oil to gears and shaft.
Align drive gear with crankshaft and insert pump straight.
Secure with mounting bolts; torque to 20–25 Nm evenly.
Reassemble & Refill:
Reinstall timing cover with new gasket/sealant.
Refill engine with recommended viscosity oil (e.g., 15W-40).
Prime oil system manually if possible before startup.
Test Run:
Start engine and monitor oil pressure gauge.
Ensure pressure reaches normal range within 5 seconds.
Check for leaks around mounting area.
